A Blue Origin New Glenn rocket exploded on the pad during an engine "hotfire test" at roughly 9 p.m. at Launch Complex 36 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Blue Origin said its New Glenn rocket exploded during an engine-firing test being conducted ahead of a satellite launch planned for next week.

The New Glenn rocket completed its third launch last month and successfully landed its first stage booster.
